Summary: Optim stores nearly all your data locally on your device. We do not sell your data. The only information transmitted externally is what you send through the AI Advisor chat and data used to generate personalized notifications.

1. Information We Collect

Information You Provide

Profile information: Your first name, experience level, health goals, and active domains (e.g., peptides, nutrition, workouts, skincare) entered during onboarding.
Health & wellness logs: Peptide dosing records, workout logs, nutrition tracking, skincare routines, mood/energy/sleep ratings, and body composition data.
Progress photos: Photos you optionally take for personal progress tracking.
AI conversations: Messages you send to the AI Advisor feature.

Information Collected Automatically

Device identifiers: Anonymous device identifiers used solely for subscription management via RevenueCat.
IP address: Temporarily processed by our API server for rate limiting purposes only. Not stored or logged.

2. How Your Data Is Stored

Local-first design: All health logs, wellness data, protocols, progress photos, nutrition records, workout history, and skincare routines are stored exclusively on your device using local storage. This data never leaves your phone unless you use the AI Advisor.

We do not maintain user accounts or cloud databases containing your health information. If you uninstall the app, your locally stored data is permanently deleted.

3. Information Shared with Third Parties

AI Services (Anthropic via OpenRouter)

When you use the AI Advisor or receive personalized notifications, your conversation messages and relevant context (such as your goals, active protocols, and experience level) are sent to our backend server, which forwards them to Anthropic's Claude AI models via OpenRouter for processing. These services process your data according to their own privacy policies:

RevenueCat (Subscription Management)

If you subscribe to Optim+, RevenueCat processes your purchase through the App Store or Google Play. We receive confirmation of your subscription status but do not have access to your payment details. See the RevenueCat Privacy Policy.

Affiliate Links

The Shop tab contains affiliate links to third-party supplement providers (e.g., Peptide Sciences). Clicking these links takes you to external websites governed by their own privacy policies. We may receive referral commissions but do not share your personal data with these partners.

4. Permissions

Camera & Photo Library: Used solely for taking and storing progress photos locally on your device. Photos are never uploaded to our servers.
Notifications: Used to deliver personalized health reminders and protocol notifications. You can disable these at any time in the app settings or your device settings.

5. Data Security

Communications between the app and our backend server are encrypted using HTTPS/TLS. Your locally stored data is protected by your device's built-in security (passcode, biometric lock, encryption).

6. Children's Privacy

Optim is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

7. Your Rights & Choices

Delete your data: Since data is stored locally, you can delete it at any time by clearing app data or uninstalling the app.
Disable AI features: You can choose not to use the AI Advisor, keeping all data on-device.
Manage notifications: Toggle notifications on/off in your device or app settings.
Manage subscriptions: Cancel your Optim+ subscription at any time through the App Store or Google Play.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through an in-app notice. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
